Good Credit Repair Companies

Looking for good credit repair companies?

There are many reasons to search for a reputable credit repair company. Perhaps you have tried to repair your credit yourself and realize that it is taking too long or perhaps you have come to a standstill and don't know what else to do? I'll try to give you an overview of what to look for and maybe tell you who you can trust. You need to do your own research and be vigilant before paying someone!

Who do you trust when it comes to credit repair companies ?:

Unfortunately, it is estimated that fraudulent credit repair companies have scammed people out of millions of dollars in recent years. Consumers have flocked to these "credit doctors" only to find that their ads proved far more impressive than their results.

Many credit repair companies are effective and legitimate. A legitimate business uses the dispute process that the Fair Credit Reporting Act enables to get results.

Guarantees are a warning sign from a questionable credit repair company. On the other hand, a guarantee whereby the credit repair company promises a refund if certain results are not obtained, is a better, more realistic claim that can be made in the form of a guarantee.

Be sure to ask exactly what they plan to do for you before paying.

Some companies charge an hourly rate, some charge per item on your report, some charge a monthly fee, and some charge a combination of the same. You must be sure of the end result before committing to any type of contract!

New or old best credit repair ?:

Should you choose a credit repair company that has been in business for years or a new company? Both have their pros and cons.

A new company is one to which you are very reluctant to give up your hard-earned money because who knows if they will be there tomorrow? On the other hand, I have found that a company that is just starting out will provide you with the personalized service that is really difficult to find in a company that has been around for years.

An older company is one that can do the job or they would not continue to exist. You may have to wait in line and never get to speak to a real person!

It depends on the individual. Everyone has their preferences on those warnings, but keep in mind that anyone can take your money whether they have been doing it for days or years!
